4 Signs That You May Need A Dental Implant

Have you ever met someone who talks while covering their mouth? That is a clear indication that such a person is insecure about their appearance which is the last thing you could wish for yourself or any other person. Insecurity means that we are not comfortable in who we are and has a significant impact on our self-esteem. Today, there are quite a number of dentists who perform dental implants to bring back your perfect smile and confidence.

Your smile, if you do not know, is one of the most attractive features that people notice when they first interact with you. And most often than not, your smile might be all someone needs to brighten their day. Before you consider getting dental implants, some of the warning signs that will raise the alarm include;

1.    Cracked, Broken Or Missing Tooth

Sometimes our teeth may crack or break when we exert too much pressure on them.  Falling badly, getting involved in a fight or chewing hard foods may result in the cases as mentioned above and in the worst case scenario lead to the loss of the entire tooth. The sad truth is that most people will try as much as possible not to open their mouths after such experiences, especially if it is a tooth on the front side.  As for the cracked or broken tooth, they might have some other fixing techniques that might get the job done, but most cases of missing teeth require a dental implant procedure.

2.    Loose Dentures

When a person has dentures on for some time, they become extremely cautious while opening your mouth to prevent them from falling. This should not at any point be the case as there is a more sustainable and reliable procedure to fix the problem, dental implants. The moment you realize that your dentures are a bit loose and a bit wobbly while eating certain foods, it might mean that it is about time to consult your trusted dentist for a dental implant. Remember, dental implants feel and look like your natural teeth too.

3.    Difficulty While Eating

There is nothing as discouraging as not being able to enjoy your favorite meal because of a dental problem. Have you been experiencing some comfortability while eating some foods? Or some unusual sensitivity? If so, dental implants may be the solution to the problem. Do not hesitate to reach out to your dentist to get the problem solved in due time before it gets worse than it already is.

4.    Sunken- In Facial Appearance

This is common mostly with patients who wear dentures, and the sunken in facial appearance is not the best.  The above mentioned appearance is as a result of the dentures not stimulating bone growth causing the bone structure around the jaw to deteriorate over time. On the contrary, dental implants get attached directly to the socket of the jaw bone hence acting as an artificial tooth root. As a result, it stimulates the growth of the jaw bone like the natural teeth.
